Notice of Award

The Government of Guyana in collaboration with the Government of China is offering a limited number of scholarships to pursue studies at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels for the 2026/2027 academic year in China.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for consideration in the following fields of study:-

Undergraduate:

Clinical Medicine (MD)
Veterinary Medicine (DVM.)

Key Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be 25 years or under at the time of application and a holder of a valid Guyanese Passport

A minimum of five (5) subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) level inclusive of English Language and Mathematics with Grades I or II.

For Clinical Medicine – Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) subjects at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) level (Years 1 & 2) inclusive of Chemistry, Physics or Biology with Grades I or II, an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with a GPA of 3.0.

Postgraduate:

Civil Material & Structure Engineering (MEng.)
Hydraulic & Hydro-Power Engineering (MEng.)
Structural Engineering (MEng.)

Key Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be 35 years or under at the time of application and a holder of a valid Guyanese Passport.

Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.

Closing date for submission of applications is November 21, 2025
