Description

The Government of Guyana in collaboration the Government of Cuba is offering a limited number of scholarships in Cuba at the Undergraduate level for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for consideration in the following fields of study: -

Fields of Study

Key Requirements

  • Human Medicine (MD.)
  • Clinical Neurophysiology (BSc.)


  • Applicants must be 25 years or younger and a holder of a valid Guyana Passport


  • A minimum of five (5) subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) level inclusive of English Language, Mathematics, and any two (2) Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Human & Social Biology) with Grades I or II.

AND


  • A minimum of two (2) subjects at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) level (Year one & two) inclusive of Chemistry, Physics and Biology with Grades I or II.


OR



  • Be a holder of an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degee in a relevant field with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8.
  • Nursing (BSc.)
  • Applicants must be 25 years or and a holder of a valid Guyana Passport


  • A minimum of five (5) subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) level inclusive of English Language, Mathematics, and any two (2) Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Human & Social Biology) with Grades I or II.

AND


  • Be a holder of a valid Registered Nursing License

NB: Previous applicants are not required to reapply.
