Notice of Award

The Government of Guyana in collaboration with the Government of Japan: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is offering a limited number of scholarships to pursue studies at the Postgraduate level for the 2027/2028 academic year in Japan.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for consideration in the following fields of study:-

Postgraduate:

Civil & Environmental Engineering (MEng.)

Veterinary Science (MSc.)

Electrical & Electronic Information AEngineering (MEng.)

Construction & Environmental Engineering (MEng.)

Water Environmental Engineering (MSc.)

Plant Genetics & Breeding (MSc.)

Key Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be 35 years or under at the time of application and a holder of a valid Guyanese Passport.

Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.

Closing date for submission of applications is July 12, 2026.
